Kathleen provides a fun, warm, and exciting atmosphere in her private lessons for kids, and adults alike!
Whether you're just starting out, or preparing for that first professional Audition, KCM Performance Studio is the place for you!
KCM Performance Studio's main objective is to teach the singing technique required for Classical and/or Musical Theatre genres, along with a heavy focus on Acting and Entertainment.
KCM Performance Studio hosts One on One lessons in person (and via Zoom for International Students), and larger group Masterclasses and Short Courses, in Person as well!!
These are exciting times once again!
We had a tumultuous couple of years during COVID, but we are Performers, we managed to get through it! We are a resilient bunch of people and we came back, stronger than ever before.

Private Singing Lessons
You will learn how to sing one on one with Kathleen either in person at her studio, or via Zoom Sessions in the comfort of your own home!
Kathleen is well trained in both Musical Theatre and Classical Music, she will help you navigate technically through either of these vocal styles.
Your first lesson will consist of an assessment of your voice, and ascertaining your performance goals. Together, we will determine a plan as to how and when you can achieve your vocal aspirations, whatever they may be!
Lesson Duration: 30 min - 1 hour

Private Acting Lessons
In this one on one session, Kathleen will Coach you through any Song, Monologue or Scene you are working on. She will introduce different acting methods and offer ‘Insider Tips’ to help achieve your highest Performance level.
While a Singing Lesson focuses primarily on singing technique, vocal production and music, Acting Coachings will help you focus on the Performance, Storytelling and the Dramatic Interpretation of your piece.
Private Acting Lessons are available in person at the Studio or via Zoom.
Coaching Duration: 30 mins- 1 hour

Singing and Acting Lessons Combined
Kathleen will focus on your vocal technique and the music of your song for the first section of the lesson, while the second portion will be exclusively devoted to the interpretation of your piece, acting and characterisation.
With a focus on both Singing and Acting Technique, you're sure to achieve your very best overall performance!
Singing and Acting Lessons Combined are available in the Studio or via Zoom.

French and Italian Language Diction Lessons
As a Canadian, Kathleen had the opportunity to learn French at school through the French Immersion Program, Kindergarten through to Grade 10.
Kathleen also grew up with an Italian/Irish household. You can never forget your double consonants or gorgeous round Italian vowels, when you have a Mamma and Nonna in your corner!
Kathleen is not only bilingual (French and English) and Italian in heritage, she has extended French and Italian Diction Course Study through her years at the University of Toronto, Canada.
If you're learning a French or Italian Art Song or Opera Piece, one of these private lessons will help anyone perfect their pronunciation of the beautiful French and Italian languages!

Founder and Teacher
KCM Performance Studio is run by Kathleen Moore. Kathleen has performed on professional stages all over the world for over 20 years.
Kathleen started her love and passion for singing and acting at a very young age. She sang her very first solo for class assembly and the whole school, in Kindergarten. The song was 'Les Feuilles Tombes' (Author Unknown)
The Stage bug bit, and the rest is as they say, history!
Kathleen is a Professional Actor and Singer, who has continued connections to the Professional Performing Industry. She has an Honours Degree in Theatre and Music (University of Winnipeg, Canada), and continued studies in Voice and Vocal Pedagogy (University of Toronto, Canada). Throughout her Professional Stage career, Kathleen has also programmed and facilitated master classes and courses of Musical Theatre and Theatre for groups of kids and adults alike. Now in beautiful Bendigo, Kathleen has realised her dream of opening her own Singing and Acting Private Studio!
Kathleen has been on a long hiatus due to a serious health issue. She is slowly getting back to her normal life and is ready to go again! She had so much experience in Theatre and Singing, that she has no trouble at all with Teaching once more! So... if you are ready for some great Singing and Acting Lessons...

Professional Stage Experience
Kathleen Moore is a Professional Singer and Actor who has trained extensively in Opera, Musical Theatre and Straight Theatre.
June 2019- August 2021
Come From Away
Kathleen covered 5 out of 6 female roles in Come From Away. Due to COVID-19, the show had to close it's doors to sold out crowds. Up until it's forced closure, Come From Away enjoyed a 9 month Melbourne Season at the Comedy Theatre with no signs of slowing down... Fast forward to Melbourne 2021 and Come From Away reopened its doors to more sold out audiences. The show then managed to continue a successful run in beautiful Brisbane. Kathleen decided to finish her roles in Sydney, Australia, August 2021.
August 2018- March 2019
Evita
Kathleen enjoyed the role of Evita's (Tina Arena's) 'Mamma', and singing the very top Soprano notes of Andrew Lloyd Webber's extraordinary Evita score. A shorter run of a Musical Theatre Classic, Evita, Australia played at the Sydney Opera House, and the State Theatre, Art Centre, Melbourne to sold out crowds every day and night performance.

La Bohème (H.O.S.H.)
Opera Australia's production of La Bohème, (Handa on the Sydney Harbour), sticks out as one of Kathleen's favourite stage experiences. It's an outstanding event that Handa and Opera Australia produce every year on the Sydney Harbour. Complete with massive cranes that air-lift sets on and off the stage, to Fireworks every night, this is most definitely a feather in any performer's cap!

The Phantom of the Opera is Kathleen's longest running performance job and is her break-through show into the Professional Musical Theatre Industry of Australia. As such, Phantom will always hold a very special place in her heart. She played a range of characters from Confidente, Wardrobe Mistress to Mme Giry Cover, performing in Taipei (Taiwan), Seoul (Korea) and Istanbul, (Turkey) to name a few.

The Light in the Piazza
(One Night Charity Event)
The Light in the Piazza is Kathleen's favourite Musical and her most pinnacle stage experience. One night only, the professional cast, musicians and crew, gave of their time between The Phantom of the Opera performances to raise money for Charity.
Kathleen had the great honour to play the role of Clara in Adam Guettel's masterpiece.
Fully staged and orchestrated, the first Australian cast performed The Light in the Piazza at the Lyric Theatre (Sydney), to an adoring audience.

Short Courses and Masterclasses
When on hiatus from her work on Musicals or Operas, Kathleen loves connecting with her community. She has taught Masterclasses and full courses for young aspiring Performers in Newcastle, NSW, and enthusiastic Adults in Canberra, ACT. Kathleen has also taught in her home town of Winnipeg, Canada through the University of Winnipeg and most recently in the Made in Manitoba Masterclass Series.

University of Winnipeg High School Enrichment Program (Winnipeg, Canada)- 2002/ Perform Australia (Canberra) - 2017/2018
Before beginning her professional stage career, Kathleen taught a Theatre Course at the University of Winnipeg, Canada for high achieving high school students through the University's High School Enrichment Program.
While Kathleen lived in Canberra, she connected with Perform Australia assisting in their Acting 101 Short Course in late 2017. The following year, Kathleen developed and facilitated Perform Australia's first Adult Beginner Musical Theatre Short Course (For Leisure). (Above Pictured: The University of Winnipeg, Canada)
Masterclasses
Newcastle Grammar School- 2015 / Made in Manitoba Masterclass Series- 2020
Kathleen began her life in Australia in Newcastle, NSW, where she made some wonderful friends in Theatre, Music and Education. Between show tours, Kathleen was asked to lead a Musical Theatre Masterclass with the High School Seniors at Newcastle Grammar School in 2015.
More recently, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Kathleen re-connected with one of her childhood Musical Theatre Teachers in Winnipeg, Ms. Brenda Gorlick. Ms. Gorlick reached out to many of her past students who are now Professionals in the Performance Industry all over the globe, and asked them to lead Masterclasses.
Kathleen was invited by Ms. Gorlick to develop and lead a Mock Audition Masterclass for Juniors (ages 10-13), Seniors ( ages 14-17) and Adults (ages 18 and up) via Zoom. Kathleen's Mock Audition Masterclass was a huge success!
